Why read it?

Since I am hopeless in maths and that I want hope, I was looking for some good ideas of how to start.

This article might interest you if you're in a school. This is no longer my case, but there's still brain food.

Article key points

See the original article for details, but for now and at a glance it is recommanded to:

  • Figure out the Big Picture.
  • Get on top of it before it gets on top of you.
  • Read Ahead.
  • Use more than one resource.
  • Don't join the Blame Game.
  • Practice makes Perfect[^1].
  • Time Management[^2].
  • Don't fall into the trap of copying from a friend to survive.
  • Never, never give up
  • Keep a sense of humour!

My takeaway, for use outside the classroom

That's all well and good, but what it really tells us is what to do, but not always how to do it. That's normal, the article[^3] was quite short. So let's not give in to easy criticism.

This blog is in a way a 'travel diary' towards 'how to'. Here, I'll be sharing my discoveries on how to learn math better, and maybe even be able to enjoy it!
